Sure, being a mom is great. It’s what you wanted! But now that it’s here, you’re realizing how much harder it is than you thought. You didn’t realize how lonely being around another human 24/7 can be. You lose your shit over seemingly silly things, which leads to massive guilt afterwards. Other people tell you that these moments are “magical” and you’ll “miss these days”, but you cannot imagine how you will miss sleep deprivation and being covered in spit up.

You don’t want to miss these moments. You want to be present, you want to be the nurturing mom you know you can be, but it just feels like too much right now.

Whether you are experiencing a postpartum mood change or just having a tough time adjusting to having a little one, I can be a sounding board for what’s going on in your world. The postpartum time frame is a fragile one and having a therapist that understands the ins and outs of it is crucial.

You deserve to take the time out of your day to take care of yourself. You are worth the investment in therapy to feel supported. I promise to never tell you to sleep when the baby sleeps.
